Create a ticket
Raise a ticket on a customer's behalf from the New support ticket form.
- Click New ticket in the top bar or at the top right of the Helpdesk page.
- In the New support ticket form, fill in:
- Subject (required), for example "Outlook not syncing for the marketing team".
- Customer (required): click the field and pick a customer. You can search and sort.
- Priority: Normal unless you change it.
- Requester (optional): one of the customer's contacts, or Not in the list? Enter manually to type a name and email. A typed requester is saved on this ticket only and creates no contact.
- CC (optional): people to copy on the ticket's mail. Pick contacts of the customer or type an address. A typed address is not made a contact. See Copy people on a ticket (CC).
- Type: the default type is preselected. The type decides the flow.
- Status: the starting status. Only open statuses on the type's flow are offered.
- Category and Assignee (optional). Each technician shows how many open tickets they have.
- Description: paste, drop or insert images as needed, or add a table with the Table button.
- Click Create ticket. The new ticket opens straight away.

Since this morning every label comes out blank. The printer shows no error, and a test page prints fine.

- Changing the customer clears a requester you picked from the old customer's contacts. A typed requester stays.
- The ticket opens with an Original request card at the top of its conversation, saying it was created by you on behalf of the requester.
- Images: PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP, at most 2.5 MB each and 20 per new ticket.
- A ticket cannot start in a closed status.
