Account & security

Change your password, turn on two-factor authentication, and sign out of other sessions.

Who can do thisEvery user

Account & security is your own page for signing in safely: your password, two-factor authentication and the places you are signed in. It also holds a few preferences and your privacy options. The whole page is in English whatever language you have chosen.

Open the page

  • On the Launch Pad: account menu, then Account & security.
  • On the administration pages: profile menu, then Account settings. It is the same page under another name.
  • On My profile: the link Manage sign-in & security.

Under a header with your name and email, the page shows a grid of cards: Your workspaces, Sign-in & security, Active sessions, Recent security activity, Connected accounts, Preferences and Privacy & data.

PictureAccount & security is English only. The highlighted Language · Coming soon row is not where you set your language: choose it on My profile instead.

Change your password

  1. In Sign-in & security, the Password row says "Managed by your Juvaro identity". Click Change.
  2. The dialog Confirm it's you asks for Your password, the one you use today. Type it and click Continue. A wrong password gives "That password is incorrect."
  3. In Set a new password, type the new password in New password and again in Confirm new password.
  4. Click Update password.

The page then says "Password updated. Other sessions may need to sign in again." On other devices you may be asked to sign in with the new password. Possible errors are "Enter a new password.", "The new passwords do not match." and "Could not update the password."

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication adds a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone to your password. The Two-factor authentication row shows Off · Set up or On · Remove.

  1. Click Set up and confirm your current password.
  2. The dialog Set up two-factor authentication shows a QR code and a key: "Scan this with your authenticator app (or enter the key manually), then type the 6-digit code." Scan it, type the code and click Verify & enable.
  3. The dialog now shows your backup codes. Each code works once if you lose your authenticator, and they are not shown again. Store them somewhere safe, tick I've saved these backup codes and click Done.

The page confirms "Two-factor authentication is on." To turn it off, click Remove and confirm your password; you see "Two-factor authentication turned off."

Note

If your workspace uses single sign-on, a Tenant Admin can require multi-factor authentication for everyone on the Authentication page. See Authentication and single sign-on.

Active sessions

  1. In Active sessions, next to Devices & sessions, click Manage sessions.
  2. A table lists your sessions with Application, Signed in and Expires. It does not mark which session is the one you are using now.
  3. To end them all, click Sign out of all sessions, then Yes, sign out everywhere.

This signs you out on every device, including the one you are using, so you have to sign in again. Signing out of a single session is not possible here.

Preferences

The Preferences card holds two settings. Both are saved on this device only ("Preferences are saved on this device."), so another browser or computer starts with the defaults again.

  • Time zone: Automatic (your device) or one of a short list of cities (Copenhagen, London, Berlin, Paris, UTC, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney). It is used for the times shown on this page, such as Last sign-in.
  • Default landing: where you land after signing in. Members only have Launchpad. Tenant Admins can choose Admin overview to land on the Overview page instead.

The card also has a Language row that says "English · Coming soon". Your language is not set here: choose it on the Language card on My profile. See Choosing your language. Date and time formats are set on My profile too; see Date and time formats.

The other cards

  • Your workspaces: every workspace your account belongs to, with your role there and how you sign in ("You sign in with a password." or "You sign in with single sign-on."). See Choosing and switching workspaces.
  • Recent security activity: recent security events on your account, such as a password change.
  • Connected accounts: external accounts linked to your sign-in, or "No external accounts linked."
  • Privacy & data: download your data or leave the workspace. See Privacy and your data.

Not available yet

These rows show Coming soon and cannot be used: Passkeys, Recovery (email · backup codes) and, under Privacy & data, Delete this account and its data. The backup codes you get when you set up two-factor authentication still work as described above.
