Archive a company you no longer work with. Nothing is deleted, and you can bring it back.
Archive a company
- On the account page, click Archive.
- The question Retire this account? appears inline on the page. Read it: "It stops being offered for new work and leaves the account list, in this product and in every product that mirrors the customer master."
- Click Yes, archive it.
Its contacts, its parent link and everything written against it stay exactly as they are. The company now carries the Archived chip and is hidden from the account list unless Include archived is on.
Restore a company
- Turn on Include archived on the account list and open the company.
- Click Restore, then Yes, restore it under Bring this account back?
Creating or importing a company with the CVR of an archived one also brings it back.
What archiving affects
- Helpdesk and AMS stop offering the company for new work. See What other products see when you merge or archive.
- A quote cannot be sent to an archived customer: "This customer is retired. Bring the customer back before quoting."
- An archived company cannot be chosen to survive a merge.
TipArchiving a contact is different: an archived contact cannot be restored in the app. See Contacts on a company.
