Custom fields on companies and people
Add your own fields, decide whether other products may see them, and archive the ones you no longer need.
Who can do thisCRM Administrator
Custom fields add your own information to companies and people, for example a contract level or an SLA. You define them under ManagementCustom fields; users fill them in on a company's or person's edit page. The card on the tab is titled Custom fields.

Change, archive and restore
Each row has Edit and Archive; an archived field has Restore. Archiving hides the field from the forms without deleting stored values.
Shared or CRM only
A field is readable, and writable, by Helpdesk, AMS and Hub connectors only when it is marked Shared with other products. None and CRM only both keep it inside CRM; the difference is that CRM only records that someone decided so. See Shared vs CRM-only custom fields.
Where users fill them in
Custom fields are not on the New account form. Users create the company first and then fill the fields on Edit; see Editing a company and its custom fields. The account page shows a custom fields card only when the workspace defines fields.
