Consent purposes, retention and the lapsed review
The wordings people may agree to, how long a record is kept, and who is past their keep-until date.
Who can do thisCRM Administrator
ManagementConsent & retention has three cards. They decide what consent can be recorded on a person, and help you see who you no longer have a reason to keep.
Consent purposes
The wordings a person can agree to, such as "Newsletter about IT security".
- Type in Add a wording and click Add.
- Retire takes a wording out of use; Bring back returns it. A wording cannot be renamed.
- While the list is empty, any wording is accepted. Add one and only the listed wordings can be recorded.
How long a record is kept
Set Months after the last consent event (1 to 600) and click Save. CRM uses it to work out a keep-until date for each person. Leave it empty and no date is worked out.
Past their keep-until date
A review list of people whose keep-until date has passed. "This screen never erases anybody. It shows you who to look at." Open each person and decide: update the consent, change the date, or archive the contact.
