A contact is a person at exactly one company. You manage them in the Contacts card on the company's page.
Add a contact
- On the account page, click Add a contact. The page New contact opens.
- Type the Name. It is the only required field.
- Add what you know: email, phone, job title, Role for us (free text, such as "Signs the contract"), Language (two letters, such as da; a region like da-DK is refused) and VIP.
- Record marketing consent if you have it. See Recording marketing consent.
- Click Add the contact.
Edit a contact
Click Edit on the row, change the fields on Edit contact and click Save changes. Every field is saved together, the consent record included. Clicking a name in the Contacts list opens the same page; there is no separate page for a person.
Make someone the primary contact
Click Make primary on the row. A company has one primary contact at a time; the button is hidden on the person who already is. The Primary chip marks them. Helpdesk and AMS can use the primary contact too.
Archive a contact
- Click Archive on the row.
- Read Archive this contact?: "There is no undo for this in the app. Unlike an account, an archived contact cannot be brought back."
- Click Yes, archive the contact.
An archived contact opens read-only with "This contact is archived" and cannot be changed. If the person comes back, add them again as a new contact.
What you cannot do here
There are no activities on a contact (activities belong to the company), and you cannot change a contact's Type. People Helpdesk creates arrive as Type Requester; see Ticket requesters from Helpdesk.
