The catalogue
What you sell, priced per billing period, ready to pick on a quote.
Who can do thisCRM Administrator
The catalogue is what you sell, priced per billing period. Sellers pick catalogue items as quote lines; they never see the cost price. Set it up under ManagementCatalogue.
Add an item
- Click Add item. The form Add an item opens.
- Fill in:
- Item number: letters A to Z, digits and hyphens, starting with a letter or digit, at most 25 characters. It must be unique, retired items included.
- Name, Category and Unit (for example user, pc. or hour).
- Billed: Monthly (the default), Quarterly, Every six months, Yearly, One-off or By usage.
- Price per period and Cost per period, as numbers with a dot and at most two decimals, like 189.50.
- Click Save item.
Edit, retire and bring back
Use Edit on a row to change an item. Retire an item you no longer sell; tick Show retired items to see it and bring it back. Changing an item does not change quotes that already use it.
Currency
Prices are in the currency set under Commercial settings. Changing that currency does not convert the prices. When a quote is in another currency, the seller is told to enter each price in the quote's currency.
Billing and subscriptions
Every line that is not One-off, By usage included, goes onto the customer's subscription when a quote is accepted. See Subscriptions and ending one.
