Sales processes, steps and loss reasons
Define the processes deals move through, the likelihood of each step, and why deals are lost.
Who can do thisCRM Administrator
A sales process (the app also says pipeline) is the list of steps a deal moves through. Each step has a likelihood of closing, which weights the deal's value in the forecast. You set them up under ManagementPipelines & loss reasons.

Add a reason
Add a process and its steps
- Type a name in Add a process and click Add. A name must be unique, and a retired process counts.
- Under the process, click Add a step. Give it a name, a Likely to close percentage (a whole number from 0 to 100) and a Position.
- Click Save the step. Repeat for each step.
A new workspace has no process ("No sales process yet"), and a deal cannot be opened until one process has at least one live step.
Rename, retire and bring back
- Rename changes a process name; Edit changes a step. A deal's history keeps the step names as they were at the time.
- Retire takes a process out of use; Bring back returns it. Tick Show retired to see retired ones.
Loss reasons
Add reasons with Add a reason. While the list is empty, a deal can be closed as lost without a reason. Add one and a reason becomes required; retiring them all makes it optional again.
How users work with deals is in Deals and The Pipeline board.
