AMS and HCM
There is no live link between Asset Management and HCM today.
Asset Management (AMS) and HCM are not connected today.
- AMS does not read employees, managers or leave from HCM.
- There are no HCM screens inside AMS, and no AMS screens inside HCM.
- AMS keeps its own list of people. A new hire in HCM does not appear in AMS by itself, and a termination in HCM does not return their assets.
If HCM removes a terminated employee's access to the workspace (see HCM as identity source), the person can no longer sign in to AMS either, because sign-in is shared. Their assets stay assigned until someone in AMS changes that.
Tip
Until a link exists, add a step to your leaver routine: when HR sets someone to Terminated, tell the AMS team so they can collect the person's equipment. See People and the Users page.
