The budget year

Spend in Flexshop counts per budget year. When a new budget year starts, every group's spend starts again at zero.

Set when the year starts

1. Open SHOPBudgets & groups. On the right is the card How the year works.
2. Under Financial year starts, choose the month. Save appears only when you change it.
3. Press Save. "Saved. Every group now counts from the new start."

"Changing it moves every group to the new year at once. Decisions already made stay as they were." A new workspace starts in January.

What counts as spent

• Spend is the total of the approved requests submitted since the year began. The card says it in full: "This budget year began on {start}. Spend counts the approved requests submitted since then and starts again at zero on {next}."
• Requests still waiting for approval are not spent, but the employee's budget view counts them as committed.
• A second-hand device the employee buys with Buy it never touches the budget.
• The line total is a snapshot from when the request was sent. A later price change does not change spend.

When the year turns

A budget year turns at 00:00 UTC on the first day of the chosen month, which is 01:00 Danish winter time. A request sent at 00:30 Danish time on 1 January still counts in the old year.
