Manage the marketplace

On offer and Sold, Reprice, Back to the grade, Delist it, stale listings and Mark it paid.

A marketplace listing is a return with the status Listed. Open SHOPMarketplace to watch and change what is on offer and what has sold.

PictureManaging listings. A listing has sat too long after more than 60 whole days; the advice is to drop the price or delist it.

The tiles

  • Listed now: how many devices are on offer, and "{amount} of stock".
  • Sold this year: sales this calendar year, with "{count} not paid yet" or "Nothing waiting to be paid".

On offer

Columns: Device, Grade, Listed (the date and the age), New price (struck through), Asking and Price and listing.

  • Reprice opens the Asking price field. Choose Why the override and press Set the price. The Asking column then says "Set by hand" and "repriced from {amount}". Zero is allowed: "giving a device away is a decision".
  • Back to the grade drops your price and uses the grade scale again.
  • Delist it takes the device off the marketplace. It goes back to Returns as Ready to list. A device reserved for a request cannot be delisted.

Listings that have sat too long

A listing has sat too long when it has been on offer for more than 60 whole days. It gets the badge Sat too long and a rose age square, and the strip says "{count} listings have sat too long. A device sitting in the pool keeps losing value, so drop the price, or delist it and send it to recycling." Tick Show only stale listings to see just those.

Sold

Columns: Device, Sold, Sold for, Terms and Payment.

  • Bought by an employee (The employee buys it): Not paid yet with Mark it paid. Press it when payroll has taken the amount; it then says Paid.
  • Paid by the company: "The company bought this one, so nobody owes anything for it."

Flexshop does not take payment. Settling a personal purchase through payroll happens outside Flexshop; Mark it paid only records that it has happened.

What does not exist

  • Showing a listing to some budget groups only.
  • Photos of returned devices on the employee card.
  • An interest count, a reuse rate or the median days to sale.
