Asset Management: what is and is not connected

The Asset Management connection is not available yet: none of its settings has any effect.

Asset Management (AMS) is the system of record for your company's assets. Flexshop is meant to work with it, but the connection is not available yet. Today nothing flows between the two products in either direction.

What the screens show

  • On Integrations, the Asset Management card says Included, Built in and Not available yet. Its four switches, Products and prices, Stock levels, Who holds what and Write assignments back, are saved but currently have no effect: "The connection to Asset Management is not available yet, so none of these settings has any effect until it is."
  • On the Overview: "Included · Not available yet, so nothing is synced".
  • In the shelf dialog: "Asset Management products come later. Until then the webshop catalogue is the connected one."
  • The rail link Asset Management only opens AMS; it does not share data.

What to do in AMS for now

  • When kit is delivered, create or assign the asset in AMS; see Assign and take back an asset.
  • When a device comes back, take it back from the person in AMS, and record its later fate there.

The AMS knowledge base describes the other side: How Flexshop, Helpdesk and CRM use AMS.
