Send a device back
Announce a return with Send this back, and change your mind with I am keeping it after all.
When you no longer need a device, send it back to the shop. In Flexshop, sending back announces the return: you tell the shop it is coming, and an administrator confirms when it arrives.

- On My assets, Maja presses Send this back next to her old ThinkPad.
- It is listed under What you have sent back as On its way to the shop. Until the shop confirms, she can still press I am keeping it after all. Every shop admin gets an email.
- In the console, Line sees it under On their way on Returns. When the parcel comes, she presses It arrived.
- The ThinkPad moves into the table with the status Needs a grade.
- She checks the device and clicks grade B. The resale price is the new price times the grade's multiplier, 0.55.
- The status is Ready to list, with a resale price of kr 5,720. Maja is never told the grade or the price.

- For something Flexshop does not know about, type it under Send back something else ("What are you sending back?") and press Send this back. "An admin will say what it was worth once it reaches the shop."

The device appears under What you have sent back as On its way to the shop, and every shop admin gets an email.
Change your mind
While the return is still on its way, press I am keeping it after all. The return is closed and shows as "You did not send this".
What happens next
- When the shop presses It arrived, your return shows With the shop.
- If the shop says it never came, it shows "You did not send this". You are not emailed about either.
- You are never told the grade or what the device was sold for.
The shop must confirm a device is wiped and signed out of every account before it can be sold on. Sign out of your accounts before you hand it in, as your IT department describes.
