Custom fields
Add extra fields to an asset type, group them in sections and show them only when they apply.
Custom fields capture what your organisation needs beyond the standard fields: a laptop's hostname, a vehicle's mileage, a service partner. They belong to an asset type.
Add a field
- Open AdministrationAsset types, click the type and open Custom fields.
- Click Add field.
- Set the Field label and the Type, then the options below.
- Drag a field to reorder it. Click Save.
Field types
text, number, enum (one option), multiselect, boolean (yes or no), date, currency, url, email, phone and reference. A reference field points at a record: a person, a vendor, a location or another asset (References).
