Customers (MSP mode)
Run AMS for your own customers and tag each asset with the customer it belongs to.
If you run AMS on behalf of your own clients, as a managed service provider, switch on Customers (MSP). You can then tag each asset with the customer it belongs to. A customer is never required: untagged assets are your own estate.
Switch it on
Open AdministrationWorkspace, switch on Customers (MSP) and save. It is off in both Simple and Advanced. See Feature switches.
Add a customer
- Open AdministrationCustomers.
- Click New customer, enter the Name and, optionally, Notes such as billing references or site contacts.
- Click Save.
What changes when it is on
- The asset form gets a Customer field, and the Assigned to picker leads with that customer's people.
- The asset list gets a Customer column and an All customers filter.
- A person on the Users page can belong to a customer: "Which of your customers this person works for. Leave it empty for your own staff."
Customers and CRM
When your workspace has Juvaro CRM, customers are shared with it. Customers from CRM appear in AMS read-only, and a customer you create in AMS is created in CRM too.
- A customer whose name is kept in CRM cannot be renamed in AMS; its notes can still be edited.
- If CRM does not accept a new customer, nothing is saved: "The customer couldn't be created in the CRM, so nothing was saved. Try again in a moment."
Archive a customer
Click Archive and confirm. Assets and contacts stay tagged to the customer and keep showing its name, but it leaves the register and the pickers.
