Warranties
Record manufacturer, extended and service warranties, and get alerted before they end.
The Warranties card on an asset records each warranty and service contract, and AMS raises an alert before one ends.
Add a warranty
- Open the asset and click Add warranty on the Warranties card.
- Pick the Kind: Manufacturer, Extended, Service contract or Accidental damage.
- Fill in Provider, Reference, Starts, Ends (required) and Coverage notes.
- Click Save.
Each warranty shows Active, Expired or "Ends in N d". Use Edit warranty to change it, or Delete warranty to remove it; a delete cannot be undone.

Add warranty
Automatic warranties
If the asset type has Warranty months set, every new asset of that type gets a warranty of that length automatically. See Asset types.
Alerts
Warranty expiry alerts open 90 days before the end date by default. See Renewals and alerts and Notification settings.
- The start date cannot be after the end date.
- Dates are written as YYYY-MM-DD when typed.
