Deleted assets
Restore an asset that was deleted by mistake, or delete it permanently.
Deleted assets is the recycle bin. An asset deleted by mistake waits here until an Application Administrator restores it or deletes it permanently.

Restore an asset
- Open AdministrationDeleted assets. The table shows Asset tag, Name, Type, Deleted, Deleted by and Actions.
- Click Restore on the row.
The asset is back in the register as it was, with its history.
Delete an asset permanently
- Click Delete permanently on the row.
- Read Delete permanently?: it cannot be undone. Its warranties and any compliance checks that were never completed are deleted with it. Its history entries stay, but no longer link to it.
- Type the asset tag where it says "Type ‹tag› to confirm."
- Click Delete permanently.
A tag that does not match is refused: "The confirmation was missing or did not match. Type the asset tag again."
While an asset is in Deleted assets
- It is hidden everywhere: lists, search, pickers and reports. Its old link shows "Not found".
- Its tag stays taken. Creating or importing an asset with that tag is refused: "An asset with this tag is in Deleted assets. An administrator can restore it or delete it permanently."
- A record that still points at it, such as a work order or a lease, can be edited for other reasons. Choosing it again is refused: "An asset you chose is no longer available. It may have been moved to Deleted assets."
When the list is empty it reads Nothing in Deleted assets. How assets get here is in Delete an asset by mistake; the delete and restore walkthrough is there too.
